About the Adventure

Abyss is a custom map from a DST player Gi-Go who designed it in 4 years. The map represents a series of biome-themed rooms with one exit to the next Level. Some rooms are like huge labyrinths; others are filled with angry mobs. Eternal night burdens the journey.

The first encounters with unforeseen dangers may be shocking sometimes. The amount of enemies may seem extreme, and some traps can be explained only by a sadistic nature of its creator. But don't be discouraged - every problem has an easy solution. A player has more than 10 sources of light. Dealing with monsters isn't a big deal by wearing an armor, wielding a sword and consuming healing food. Along the way, an adventurer will stumble upon chests and wrappers filled with the rarest items. And, eventually, the way out of a labyrinth will be found.

How to Setup

1. Download this file and extract its content ("ABYSS.zip").

2. Create a new world or duplicate an existing one in Don't Starve Together. Then open a world's folder.

3. Replace the folder's content with downloaded files.

4. Subscribe to all 11 mods from this collection. These mods tweak DST gameplay to fit the Abyss map, such as: the Moon casts a constant light to the starting area; no sanity loss after jumping into a wormhole; a new way of reviving after death.

5. Reload the game.

Quick Advice

Exploration is generously rewarded - most useful rare items are hidden in different corners of the world. It would take years to obtain them in the main game.

Do not spend too much time preparing - a couple of days should be enough to start the journey. And if your food supply does run out, you can always return to the surface. At the cost of your life, though.

Find more efficient light sources. You won’t have to suffer much when there is light nearby, your hands hold a sword, a helmet is on your head, and a backpack with food is on your shoulders.
